Very good affogato: Two big scoop of vanilla ice cream and the hot shot expresso is a perfect match. The coffee aroma is strong, with moderate bitterness. Flat white is more ordinary I would say. Overall environmental is very relaxing.

We go to the Koffiemolen almost every day either for a takeaway coffee or a sit down. Jeff and Esmee are fantastic hosts and always make sure you are taken care of. Their team does exactly the same; every time. They are details people, know that the details matter and you can see that in everything they do at the Koffiemolen. Great coffee, delicious cakes and sandwiches and more. We’ll be back. Well, because we live in Alkmaar. This is one of our favourites.

Great little cafe to have some quality coffee and cake. It has a homely atmosphere with some tasteful decorations. They have a lot of space even though it doesn't look like it from the outside but they have two floors. I can recommend it to anyone who just wants to hang out a bit over a good cup of coffee.

Lovely staff. Very good coffees and sandwiches. Charming and relaxing atmosphere and nice decoration. Very clean toilets. Just in the historical city center and for that reason I think it is a little bit expensive as expected in this kind of areas.

What a great cafe to visit whilst in Alkmaar! Such a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The food and drink was truly excellent. Really friendly and welcoming staff, all of whom spoke excellent English. They cafe is very accommodating and accepting of families however this is no way affects the overall chilled vibe De Koffiemolen offers in its beautiful surroundings. A must visit whilst in Alkmaar, we will definitely be back, thank you.
